The hand behind Marcy
Marcy is the character. Dawn is real.
Chef Dawn Drouillard grew up in Grand Marais on the North Shore of Lake Superior, a descendant of the Grand Portage Band of Ojibwe. She ran the kitchen at the Angry Trout Café, cooked for sailing crews racing across the Great Lakes, and came to Minneapolis to cook fine dining at the Loring Café.
In 1999 she founded Fabulous Catering and spent twenty-two years building it into one of the most respected catering companies in the Twin Cities: custom menus for every client, every special diet handled with care, and a team of more than a hundred people who learned the craft from her.
Today she cooks private dinners and small events, styles food for the camera, and makes every Marcy Green candle by hand. Her cooking grew out of her own clean-eating, sugar-free life: food that makes you feel good and still tastes like a celebration.
Marcy gets the mystique. Dawn does the work.
